Job Description

Honorary Fundraiser & CSR Advisor (Volunteer)
New Delhi Nature Society (NDNS), New Delhi | Unpaid, honorary | Flexible, about 4-6 hours a week | Meetings in Delhi NCR

About NDNS

New Delhi Nature Society is a public charitable trust in Delhi. It has run nature walks, workshops and conservation work since 2014 and was registered as a trust in 2017. NDNS holds 12AB and 80G registration, CSR-1 (MCA) and NGO Darpan enrolment. Our current work includes a Yamuna fish and water-testing programme, funded by public donors through Milaap, plus nature walks and workshops for Delhi residents. We take Indian funding only. Website: https://ndns.in

Why this role

CSR proposals, grant applications and donor research are already drafted, with help from AI research and writing tools. What we lack is someone with experience and trusted relationships who can get those proposals in front of the right CSR teams and foundations, and help us close them.

What you will do

  1. Open doors. Introduce NDNS to CSR heads, foundation programme officers and corporate decision-makers you know in Delhi NCR.
  2. Attend meetings. Join or lead 2-4 meetings a month with prospective CSR and foundation partners in Delhi NCR, in person or online.
  3. Advise. Review our CSR proposals and budgets before they go out, and tell us what a CSR committee will look for.
  4. Guide. Meet the President once a month to review the funder pipeline and next steps.
  5. Represent. Speak for NDNS at selected CSR forums and events when it is useful.

Who we are looking for

  • Ideally a retired or semi-retired corporate CSR, sustainability or HR head, foundation professional or senior executive (10+ years experience).
  • Personal contacts among Delhi NCR CSR teams or foundations.
  • An understanding of Schedule VII, CSR-1, CSR committee approvals and utilisation reporting.
  • A love of Delhi's nature, the Yamuna and its ridges and forests.

What we offer

  • An honorary title (Honorary Fundraiser / CSR Advisor) and acknowledgement on ndns.in and in our reports.
  • A small, focused team with documents and proposals already prepared, so your time goes on relationships, not paperwork.
  • This is an unpaid, honorary role (volunteer, part-time). There is no commission or percentage of funds raised, in line with the AFP Code of Ethical Standards and the International Statement of Ethical Principles in Fundraising.

How to apply

Email newdelhinaturesociety@gmail.com with the subject line "Fundraiser - Honorary". Attach your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note (5-10 lines) on your CSR or foundation experience and the organisations you could introduce us to. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; first review is on 20 Nov 2026.
