UNOPS in Lao PDR
Since 2011, UNOPS has been supporting the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) by providing procurement, sustainable infrastructure, and project management expertise to enhance development outcomes. UNOPS focuses on strengthening health systems, improving governance, and advancing sustainable and resilient infrastructure in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the National Socio-Economic Development Plan (2021-2025).
The UNOPS Lao PDR Office is part of the UNOPS South East Asia Multi-Country Office (EAPMCO), which provides oversight, support, and services to UNOPS operations in the country offices.
Job Specific
The Lao PDR Office is hiring for the position of Driver. Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Administration Associate, the Driver's main goal is to transport clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. He/she should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. He/she also promotes a customer service-oriented approach consistent with UNOPS rules and regulations.
Reporting to the Administration Associate, the Driver is responsible for the following:
1. Safe, timely and comfortable transportation duties
2. Monitoring and Progress Controls

Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education
Minimum secondary education qualification is required.
Training/certification in a basic vehicle maintenance and repair course is an asset.
Valid Driving License is mandatory.
High School diploma with 50% reduced years of required experience may be considered for qualified female applicants.
