1. Job Summary

The HR Officer will be responsible for managing all human resource functions of the NGO, including recruitment, training, employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, and performance management. The role ensures the smooth functioning of HR policies in alignment with the organization’s mission and values.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Recruitment & Staffing

Develop job descriptions and hiring plans for all departments.

Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviews, onboarding.

Maintain volunteer recruitment and engagement programs.

B. Employee Onboarding & Orientation

Conduct induction programs for new employees.

Maintain employee files, documents, and HR database.

C. HR Policies & Compliance

Draft, update, and enforce HR policies as per NGO standards.

Ensure compliance with labor laws, PF, ESIC, leave rules, POSH Act, etc.

Maintain records for audits, CSR partnerships, and donor requirements.

D. Payroll & Attendance

Manage attendance, leave, and monthly payroll coordination.

Handle reimbursements, contracts, and consultant payments.

E. Training & Development

Identify staff skill gaps and plan training workshops.

Organize capacity-building sessions for field teams.

F. Performance Management

Implement performance appraisal systems (monthly, quarterly, yearly).

Support team leaders with goal setting and feedback methods.

G. Employee Engagement & Welfare

Ensure a positive work culture in the organization.

Plan team meetings, welfare activities, and grievance handling.

H. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare HR reports for management and donors.

Maintain confidentiality of all employee information.

3. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master’s degree in HR, Social Work, or relevant field.

1–5 years of HR experience (NGO experience preferred).

Knowledge of labor laws, HR documentation, and compliance.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with diverse teams and field staff.
